Outlook Express Sends Email But Gives An Error


Outlook Express software, if it fails to establish a connection with the e-mail server will respond with an error messaging saying “The Mail Was Sent, But There Was a Sending and Receiving Error”. Follow the tips below to resume the Outlook Express tool kit back.

Instructions

  • Switch on your laptop or desktop.
  • Wait for the login screen to appear. Enter username and password into the fields under the labels Username and Password.
  • Check your internet connection settings. Right click on the network icon located on the bottom right corner of the task bar. Select the option Connect to a network from the pop up. Check whether the status says Connected or not. If the status does not show Connected, click on the label Connect to a network and then select the option Connect. Check with your ISP team if the connection problem persists.
  • Initiate Outlook express restart. At times, a simple restart can get your Outlook express problems resolved with ease.
  • Analyze internet Account Settings. Select the option Tools from the menu and click the option internet Account settings. Double-check the set incoming and outgoing server details and their respective port numbers. Any deviation from the standard value can offer you compromised internet experience. Contact your system administrator for more assistance on the same.
  • Launch Microsoft Outlook in Express safe mode. Click on the Start icon located on the bottom left corner to launch the start menu. In the Start menu Search Field, type in Outlook.Exe /Safein. Make sure you enter the search key word in lowercase. Press the enter key to initiate the search. 
  • Select all the messages that were sent to you by unknown users. Check in the boxes next to these emails. Once done selecting, right click the selection and hit the option Delete from the drop down. Delete all the suspicious email messages or data files in your inbox.
  • Hit Outlook Express Update to get your Outlook office tool updated with the latest software codes and Outlook fixes. Select the option Help and choose the option Update.
  • Disable Windows firewall option during the update. Windows firewall can prevent Outlook from downloading updated files and codes.
  • Launch the Start menu and enter Windows Firewall as the search keyword. Press enter to launch the Windows Firewall window. Click the link with the label Turn Windows Firewall on or off. Click Apply after choosing the Off option.
